– Ra Uru Hu
When people ask me what formed my accent, I say growing up in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. This was my home home. Even though I have not always lived there, mom (aka Gwen) has.
In March 2020, I returned home to 'ride out covid' and stayed until the land lease ended and we closed out Jan 2024- a life chapter which spanned 60 years. During my time there, I enjoyed taking friends on reef walks and mountain hikes, while also being available for bodywork, Human Design & Gene Key sessions and workshops.
Our property was a tranquil space for relaxing, reading, swimming with turtles and eagle rays, kayaking as well as deepening into the presence and stillness island life offers. I was graced to experience this 'home home' in my formative years as I am what is termed in Human Design- Low Sound -which means I am highly sensitive to frequency and sound.
Growing up without TV and even radio was a blessing. As was living by the rising and setting sun, the sounds of nature and moonlit nights blending salty air laced with night blooming jasmine, tipani and gardenias.

A local Ta'unga told my dad when I was five, that I'd be 'healing with her hands when she is older'. And it was true. My feet knew how to find sore spots on Dad's back and how to click his spine, which I did until around the age of 14. My therapeutic practitioner training began in 1984 as apprentice to an Osteopath/Naturopath and certification in Reflexology - Stories the Feet Can Tell.
Through life, I trained in Therapeutic Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reiki, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner & Master Practitioner, Spiral Dynamics, Neuro-Semantic Meta-Coaching and Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. My practice of neurological bodywork & coaching aura to aura communication continued its curious vein with how we shape our reality & what drives us to make the choices we do. I delved into shamanic practice, shadow work, quantum physics, natural healing, energy medicine, herbal & aromatic remedies, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama, mindfulness, trauma care & recovery, neuro-anatomy, conscious relationship patterns and more.
On May 9th, 2005, I was introduced to Human Design. As an Incarnation Cross of Explanation myself, I find humor in that the day I learned about my design happened to be a Cross of Explanation day. In 2009 I began including Human Design in my bodywork & coaching practice. A few years later I was catalysed into a deeper dive with my differentiation experiment through embarking in the Human Design Professional Training program.
Knowing the importance of embodying this practice rather than it being purely cognitive, I took five years to complete my analyst certification, while also diving deep into the world of the Gene Keys. This paved the way to become a mentor and facilitator with embodied insights for those seeking to authentically live their unique truth. With my varied background and sensitively receptive design, I am a well of resources and embodied knowing of auric connectivity through the realms of awareness and feeling.
There is that saying, 'no mud, no lotus', and for me this is very much true. I have walked the path of the wounded healer- transmuting many a karmic and genetic inherited trait. Being a compassionate facilitator who brings presence, wisdom, optimism and quirky humor to situations with a knack to explain the big picture, is what I strive to bring forth in workshops & with personal clients.
Forever in gratitude for synchronicity and timing and this experiential journey, I look forward to connecting with you, in person or online.
